Advice - Flash Fiction

Although some of this advice will fit all competitions you enter, This is mainly aimed at this one competition.

• check the rules carefully, several times, especially just before you send it

• if rules aren't clear, email nuneatonwriterscircle@gmail.com  for clarification in plenty of time

• Follow the rules to the letter to escape disqualification

• Use the common book-style format:  
• New paragraphs start with an indent
• No blank lines between paragraphs
• New-speaker conversation starts a new paragraph and is enclosed in single quotes
• Action associated with speech is always in the same paragraph
• one space after punctuation

SPAG stands for Spelling, Punctuation And Grammar. Getting this wrong is a fast track to the rejects pile, so PROOFREAD, PROOFREAD, PROOFREAD.
