Roma Grover was an author, specialising in short stories. She came to Nuneaton and ran a Creative Writing Course where she met members of Nuneaton Writers' Circle. She became a member and stayed until she moved away from Nuneaton. Before leaving she offered a trophy for a competition to be held annually. The competition to be: to write a short story based around a theme chosen by the members.
